Book Shelf Faith?

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

The world I live in is different than the next person and this is not because of the physical part, but rather the way my heart perceives the world around me! We all see the same evil and we can all see the same love as the only way these things are sustained is because of the root that drives each. Jesus is the truth that drives all love that comes from the Father! No matter what some may have been taught or what version of doctrine some may choose to favor the truth is the truth no matter what mankind does to warp it! My heart knows that the days ahead are going to be like none other and that the same evil that has always tried to warp the truth is growing. How can I believe anything other than the words of the one who died for me!

Matthew 13:47-58

47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind;

48 and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away.

49 “So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous,

50 and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

51 “Have you understood all these things?” They said to Him, “Yes.”

52 And Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

Jesus Revisits Nazareth

53 When Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there.

54 He came to His hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?

55 “Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?

56 “And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”

57 And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”

58 And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.

We are told over and over that the tares and wheat will grow together! Of course I will find other believers in Christ and we will all be at different levels of understanding but it is not our differences that should be held in the light, it is our love for our Lord Jesus that should be held in the light! If we all waited until we were exactly the same in understanding or Faith then I don't believe we would have seen the same results of what we have today. The Apostles thought that they were going to take the truth to the ends of the world and had no clue how big this world was! The truth is they did go as far as they could with a Faith that changed the whole world anyway! I know that it is each day of speaking the truth to those I encounter at work, stores, or wherever I may be that just a few words spoken of Jesus can set seeds that will forever alter the course of a person’s life! I don’t have to see the results of one person’s life to know that the work of the Father and His Son will always be done! We all have the choice to believe or deny this truth so it takes longer for others at times but in the events of it all we all have the choice to turn our hearts to the living God at some time or another! Jesus told us these words!

John 15:13

13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

These days so many people have been taught to focus on the negative! News, media of whatever source, and T.V. in general have played a huge role. Take a teacher for example that will write ten words on a board, then make one of them wrong! Most will focus on the fact that the teacher wrote one wrong instead of the fact that 9 were written right. In a world full of evil there has always been a root of love even in the darkest places! When America killed the Iranian General those who knew that man cried for the loss they experienced! This would not be possible without some seed of love in them. Of course the way these people perceive love has been perverted by the father of lies himself but none the less even a perverted love feels the root of love! This root comes from the Father of creation and was perfected in His Son Jesus! I ask the Father daily to please guide me through the lies and to please help me see through the issues of this world with His love. It is only in this love that I can be the true me that Yahweh had intended. It is hard at times especially when I have lived my life in the lies of evil for so long! It forces me to be so transparent with the Father so that in time I can be transparent with people as well! I don’t want a book shelf Faith that I only pull off when things are going good for me and my selfish wish list. I want to see the beauty of God’s grace and His judgement as well. To act as if the living God will allow the evil to go unchecked is to deny the truth of His power and sovereignty! The world has been so deceived that now we live in a country that has gone to church on Sundays but negotiated what they watch, hear, and allow to be funneled in our homes. I get convicted when watching the evil on T.V. or movies and at times my family thinks it is a bit much! I don’t want to negotiate anymore, & I only want what the Father wants for me! It is so hard and it is so heart breaking at times because I cannot force anyone or expect anyone to see what I see. It is in the hands of the Father that all people, including my children, will be molded due to their choices in life!

Luke chapter 18

Parables on Prayer

1 Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,

2 saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man.

3 “There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent.’

4 “For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,

5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.’ ”

6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge said;

7 now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?

8 “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

The Pharisee and the Publican

9 And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:

10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

11 “The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

12 ‘I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’

13 “But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’

14 “I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

15 And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them.

16 But Jesus called for them, saying, “Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

17 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.

The Rich Young Ruler

18 A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

20 “You know the commandments, ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’ ”

21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

22 When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

23 But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.

24 And Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!

25 “For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 They who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”

27 But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

28 Peter said, “Behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.”

29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

30 who will not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life.”

31 Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.

32 “For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon,

33 and after they have scourged Him, they will kill Him; and the third day He will rise again.”

34 But the disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.

Bartimaeus Receives Sight

35 As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.

36 Now hearing a crowd going by, he began to inquire what this was.

37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

38 And he called out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

39 Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

40 And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him,

41 “What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said, “Lord, I want to regain my sight!”

42 And Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

43 Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

I love the word of God and I love to be taught by the conviction of the Holy Spirit! I attempt to allow this truth to be my mirror so that it alone can guide my heart! It is hard at times because the words I write can be so bold but yet so misunderstood by others. The closer I get to Yahweh through His Son the more I realize how deep the word of God does cut. The fact is it truly is sharper than any two edged sword and all the while it cuts through others, it is constantly cutting through me! This is why it is two edged because it cannot be truly effective if I act as if I am more righteous than the next! I am just as broken as the next person and in this I find more peace because I don’t have to act as if I am someone I am not. I can rest assure in the finished work of my Lord Jesus who has all authority in the Heavens and earth!

Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Many believe Jesus has always had authority but why was it given to Him in the words He told His disciples? Why does a person need something given to them if it is already theirs? No matter what it is believed the fact is my Faith knows He is the one with the authority now and that is all that matters! Nation means “ethnic group” which derives from the Greek word Ethnos! This Nation here in America has been founded by the hand of the living God just like all other Nations prior or after! The only thing that has ever given this world Liberty was the truth of what Jesus did for us all! So many people are looking towards the government or the people totally neglecting the Lord!

2 Corinthians 3:12-18

12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech,

13 and are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel would not look intently at the end of what was fading away.

14 But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.

15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;

16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

The Father raises Kings and He also takes them down! No matter what I may have done right or wrong, it is all void without the love of my Lord Jesus! No matter what I say or do it is all pointless without the truth of Lord Jesus! Within all of this I still have to have Faith in what the word of God says. We are told that if we stray from the foundation of His word then we will be judged for this in time! People can choose to deny the judgement that is coming but it won’t change the fact it is going to happen! Jesus told us it will be as in the Days of Noah! The evil was so bad and in the faces of the people but instead of listening to the warnings of Noah they choose to ignore it in their stubborn pride. They just kept partying, living for the pleasures of what evil laid before them! This time it will not be water, but it will be fire that comes! It takes real Faith to see it for what it is, not for what I want it to be! So many have been taught that we can make Jesus out to be our happy go lucky genie in the sky all the while we can go about denying having any real Faith at all in the truth of what it is we are all warned about! I thank God for all my trials and personal failures because through it all He has shown me His true sovereignty! I know now that when the evil does what it does to this earth and why it has been doing what it has been doing till this point, is all due to the book shelf Faith of many and to those who have perverted the word Faith in general! There is no real Faith if it is not rooted in the one who can mold results. It is all just the illusion of our own understanding that causes us to fall from Faith or put it on the shelf when things don’t go our way! To break us of our own ignorance the living God will use the same evil that we have entertained for the past 60+ years! Many will say “Well I didn’t do that or do this” and in turn it will be the same as when the Father dealt with my heart! Just because I didn’t do one thing or another, I am guilty of sitting idle or saying its ok as long as it doesn’t affect me. I was just as guilty as the next and I had to repent from my silence on the issues that have plagued this Nation! In time my heart can be proven from within but it took me letting the work of the Holy Spirit cut me into pieces. As I write this blog on maybe the last Independence Day that this Nation will have ever been privileged to be a part of, I write it with a heavy heart! The words of my Lord Jesus and the Father are coming to pass at a rapid rate! It is the ones who choose to let go of the lies that will begin to understand the truth and in this peace will come! Peace will never come from mankind it can only come from the Lamb of God! So until that day arrives we can count on the fact that things will get worse around us, but who will have the Faith that Jesus is looking for when He comes! It definitely isn’t bookshelf Faith that will pass! May Yahweh Bless you and His Christ guide your steps!
